Landpartie is a format of self-organized, artistic mini-residencies developed by MATERNAL FANTASIES in the summer of 2018. 

As part of these residencies, MATERNAL FANTASIES produces artistic works in photography, film, and performance using their self-developed method of rotational authorship. In art and film production, where there is usually no infrastructure that supports both artistic work and care work, MATERNAL FANTASIES has developed a rotational production model that considers care and domestic work (including emotional labor) as part of the production process. 

In this way, MATERNAL FANTASIES builds on the efforts of early modernist artist groups who sought to drive social and artistic change through self-organized infrastructures that better fuse life and art. Another element of these residencies are the collective writing sessions. The autobiographical texts, created in the style of automatic writing, are made available to the group as material, edited, performed, and shared.
